Tragic Days in Newfoundland

Tragedy has stuck the offshore oil industry in Newfoundland, as most of us know by now, a cougar helicopter enroute to the offshore oil platforms and fpso, crashed in to the Atlantic Ocean, 50km from St. John’s. Of the 18 on board 1 survived. I have attached a few youtube videos of the news coverage. These next weeks will be very sad throughout Newfoundland.

 

These events bring memories of the Ocean Ranger tragedy to many peoples minds, although I was not born at the time, I know of the tragedy, and the outcomes. This event is similar, we have lost 17 people in the crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families at this difficult time.

Only 6 weeks left.

That’s right there only 6 weeks left, and I’ll be done college. i won’t say for good, I might ended up back in a few years but not anytime soon.

My trip to New Orleans and Indiana, is going to happen Leaving here late April, and spending 2 weeks in the Big Easy, then 1 in Indy. Its going to be a good time. I’ll be book the tickets, and hotel really soon.

I am off on my midterm break now, i am off until Wednesday, then off again until Monday, going to spend some time around the bay.
